Building a plant just for making the world’s best noodles The Hakubaku plant is the best in the world. Where most plants would use only one drying room, Hakubaku uses multiple drying rooms, each specifically controlled for temperature and humidity to produce the best possible noodles. Every batch of noodles off the line is tested using a highly scientific method of quality control but the dedicated and passionate staff have their own testing method - have lunch to decide if the noodles are good enough! Hakubaku has developed a direct relationship with the wheat growers in western New South Wales for its supply of high quality organic flour. The production volume produced out of Ballarat is sold both to overseas markets (predominantly Japan) 75% and to Australian retail outlets (approximately 25%). Hakubaku remains the only manufacturer in Australia of Japanese style noodles, which provides Hakubaku with both a quality and price advantage over its competitors. Hakubaku produces four brands in Australia (Hakubaku Organic, Gold, Masa and e-Sapore). Hakubaku Organic is the largest seller accounting for 58% of all current sales. |
